“It is never too late to be what you might have been.” — George Eliot
Is it time for a change in your life? You may know when you’ve reached a point in your personal or professional life and it’s time for a big adjustment. This may be because you reflect on a consistent basis and stay in touch with the goals you have made for yourself. When you find that your goals are not aligned with what you are doing, you make changes along the way, keeping things on track. You may try to improve the situation or go into denial that the situation isn’t as bad as you imagine.
What if you don’t realize you’re unhappy until someone points it out to you? Or you find that you are constantly overwhelmed or bored with the activities you do or the people you associate with? This could be a subject that keeps you up at night thinking, what can I do? What changes do I need to make? You consult with colleagues, friends and family, in search of an answer. The truth is you may already know the answer but because it involves change, and change is hard, you may be avoiding it.
Sometimes you just have to trust the process; trust that you are doing and saying the right thing, even when you can’t see it. Have faith in yourself and your capabilities. Remind yourself that your dream job or your ideal relationship is out there and you will do whatever it takes to make it your own!
